Reunion Information

When?  Weekend of August 7,8,9 - 2020

​

Friday: We will be booking a 'block' of rooms at the Renaissance in Charlotte for anyone wishing to stay the weekend at this exquisite hotel or you may stay at the hotel of your choice. 

​

Friday:  8pm - Plan to meet at the Cheesecake Factory located at 4400 Sharon Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211 ( .7 miles from the Renaissance) for a late dinner or coffee/dessert at the restaurant at this time.  We will get an estimated count for this evening and reserve a section at the restaurant if needed.

Saturday:  1pm - 4:30pm - Meet & Greet & Hor d'ouvres! - Informal Dress Attire

At this time all attendees can 'check-in' at the Ballroom at the hotel for an afternoon of hugging, laughing, crying and enjoying the gossip of the past 47 years of Carowinds' entertainment!  A beverage and chef catered refreshment display will be available during this afternoon gathering.  Alcohol will not be available at the Meet & Greet but a full restaurant and bar are available on the premises.

Saturday:  4pm - 7:30pm  Break for dinner.  We will include a list of all available establishments in the area.  Dress:  Dressy-Casual

​

Saturday:  7:30pm  Save room for dessert!  Once we gather back after dinner, be tempted by a FABULOUS Artisan Ice Cream and Dessert Bar.  A cash bar and bartenders will also be available specifically for our evening event. 

 

Saturday:  8:30pm - "Solid Gold Memories" presented by some of our favorite past singer/dancers featuring a trip back in time through music and performance from many of the park's best shows!  (This is going to be the BEST part of the night!!)

Sunday:  As all great things must come to an end, so must our gathering.  We invite everyone to schedule breakfast together at one of the many options available before we each make our departure back into 'reality'.

​

• The price-per-person for the "Reunion" gala on August 8th is $75.00 per person

 

• Hotel rates will be posted online soon should you decide to make arrangements at the Renaissance.  

​

• Payments for the reunion tickets may be made available through PayPal or through a personal check.

Please note that the $75.00 ticket applies directly to the "Renaissance" contracted quotes. I, Blake H. Mauney, nor any other entertainment associate is profiting from this event.  All fees go toward facility rental of the main ballroom and adjoining outdoor garden terrace, on-site event planners and caterers, tables, linens, audio & video equipment usage, bartender services, non-alcoholic beverages, refreshment displays and ice cream/dessert bar.
